Could you introduce yourself in a few lines so that our community can get to know you better? How would you define your style/universe as a travel and fashion influencer?
My name is Sylvain, influencer travel and fashion, I'm 23, I live in Nantes (a beautiful city for people looking for a weekend destination, we have a magnificent elephant!) and I've been sharing my looks and travels and everything I love for 3 years now on Instagram.
When did you start your social networking activity as a travel and fashion influencer?
I started developing this content creation business 3 years ago.
What triggered you and why did you embark on your social networking adventure with instagram?
It happened by chance, nothing was planned! At first, Instagram was a social network like any other for me, where I shared my photos. I was a model during my teenage years, from the age of 14 to 19, so I regularly posted photos from shoots and fashion shows.
It was thanks to these photos that I saw my community grow, and it was from that moment on that I received my first requests from brands who wanted to associate themselves with my account to communicate.
How much time do you spend on your articles or videos? Production, editing...? Do you have any organizational tips for other travel and fashion influencers?
I spend a lot of time on it, and it's very complicated to know exactly how much time I spend working on content. I'm lucky enough to be able to work in collaboration with my friend and also influencer sand_dly on all the creation of our photos and videos. I advise everyone to find a partner to work with, as it saves time and allows us to combine ideas to produce quality content.
What community and audience are you targeting?
Everyone, the door is open aha. On a more serious note, my community is mostly made up of men, who I think love fashion, looks and travel!
Where do you find most of your inspiration? And which social networks do you use most?
My inspiration comes from travelling, meeting new people and reading fashion magazines (yes, I do).
I'm mostly on Instagram, I recently launched a channel youtube with samos_rdgs to post travel videos!
How do you manage your time, between your family, your work and your social networks? Do you have a job or other activity besides your work as a travel and fashion influencer?
Yes, Instagram is not my main job. I'm a community manager and I'm finishing my last year of a M2 in communications. So I'm often caught between my studies, my work as a community manager and my activity on Instagram. But I love challenges and having a very active life, so I try to manage as best I can!
Do you produce your own visuals and photos? And if so, what equipment do you use?
As I said above, I work in collaboration with my friend sand_dly, thank goodness she's here! For photos I use an Olympus camera and Lightroom software.
What advice would you give to other influencers in the community?
Be passionate about what you do and Enjoy!
What would you like to undertake or develop next in your life as a travel and fashion influencer?
I'm in the process of setting up a start-up, nothing to do with influencing. I never wanted to make it my full-time job because I already have a lot of projects in mind, even though being a content creator is a really cool job.
