Could you tell us a little about yourself so that we can get to know you better?

My name is Sarah, influencer lifestyle je suis une Parisienne amoureuse d'art, de mode, de littérature et de gastronomie. I have a penchant for Made in France and houses with a fine heritage. I spend my free time reading, cooking, hunting for beautiful objects in Paris, shopping for fashion pieces, going to exhibitions and trying out new restaurants!

Date of creation of your activity on the social networks as a lifestyle influencer?

I created the Paris Frivole blog, www.paris-frivole.com in 2012! It will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2022! My Instagram is much more recent, I have long been resistant to the idea of being an instagrammer because the heart of my work lies in the content and writing. In the end, I managed to combine the 2.

What a community and audience are you targeting?

My core target is 25-35 year olds, men and women, city dwellers, mostly Parisians, aesthetes, lovers of beautiful things and hedonists.

What triggered you and why did you embark on your social networking adventure?

When I created my blog in 2012, I wanted to showcase Parisian culture, fashion and art de vivre above all else. I wasn't putting myself forward. With Instagram, I started to showcase my life more. Initially, I hid a bit behind my pen. It's worth noting that I built my community by organizing beautiful afterworks over a period of 5 years. I brought Parisians together around chic events featuring artists (exhibitions, magicians, burlesque dancers...). This activity quickly took off, so social networking was the next logical step. However, I'm proud of the fact that I'm in a niche. I don't aim for the mass market, I cultivate the exceptional.

How much time do you spend on your posts and/or lifestyle videos? Creating, directing, editing...?
Do you produce your own visuals and photos? And if so, what equipment do you use?

Creating, directing, editing...? I spend a lot of my free time, evenings and weekends, writing my Insta posts and blog posts.
I take most of my photos alone with a Sony Cybershot camera. I work with several professional photographers to illustrate the collaborations fashion (François Escriva, Jean-François Huart and others).

How do you manage your time, between your family, your work and your social networks? Do you have a job or other activity besides your work as a lifestyle influencer?

I work in IT project engineering as a Senior Project Manager. It's a very demanding job with a lot of responsibility. My professional career means a lot to me, but Paris Frivole is a passion above all else, a balance that allows me to express my creativity outside work.

Where do you find most of your inspiration? And which social networks do you use most?

I created Paris Frivole inspired by the Paris of the Belle Epoque and the Roaring Twenties. I wanted to convey joy and carefreeness through my finds (beautiful confections, dreamy fragrances, inspiring reads, unusual addresses, innovative beauty products)...

What was your strategy for developing your Instagram lifestyle community?

My strategy is honesty. I'm not in the race for subscribers. I wanted to have a community that is committed, sincere and really likes what I do. For me, the text is important and complements the image. My slightly whimsical Parisian universe perhaps stands out a little from the crowd. I'm not trying to be like everyone else.

Do you have any organizational tips for others? influencers lifestyle? What are your 3 tips for someone just starting out on Instagram?

I'm not in the best position to advise anyone because my position on social networks is singular. I make my mark on Instagram by being myself.
If I had 3 pieces of advice: it's better to post less and better with beautiful photos, take care of your French with pretty texts and never compare yourself to others.

What do you think makes a successful collaboration proposal?

A successful collaboration proposal is when our 2 respective worlds fall in love, when our values converge. When things are done with love, it's bound to happen in the best possible conditions! The photos are appealing, the texts resonate... And then the snowball effect happens in my community.
